Bridlington Syntablism Sessions is a 4-track EP, written and recorded live between 23rd and 27th April 2021.

I went away to beautiful Bridlington for the purpose of creating and recording music in a fresh environment and with no distractions. There was no pressure to complete or publish the results, I just wanted to indulge in the creative process of writing music for myself.

The tracks were made by controlling my modular system with a turntable, a process known as Syntablism. This is a hybrid form of turntablism created by DJ Sircut, which allows you to manipulate CV and Gate signals via record movements and crossfader techniques, which can control your modular synth in an infinite number of ways. I also used my own creation, the Button Box V4.2, to play melodies and basslines.

What you hear on the EP is basically what came out of the sessions on the day. I did a bit of post-production here and there, but everything you hear was recorded live whilst manipulating the turntable, oscillators, filters and FX.
